Dearham Primary School is dealing with an outbreak of norovirus.
The winter vomiting bug has already affected a number of pupils at the school, prompting health officials to send a letter home to parents.
In it, health bosses said the symptoms are "suggestive of viral gastroenteritis (also known as norovirus) and it is known that high levels of viral illness are currently circulating in the community".
Parents with unwell children and reminded to keep them off school until they have been symptom-free for 48 hours.
