Residents are being asked to help plan palliative care for the future in Maryport.
A workshop is to be held in the town next Thursday, February 16.
Maryport Health Alliance is fighting to ensure that people have the right to die in dignity in Maryport with family and friends close by.
Next Thursday alliance members will listen to people's experience of palliative care in the Maryport area and find out what works, what can be improved and how the community can support existing provision.
Alliance spokeswoman Kate Whitmarsh has urged anyone who has concerns about the future of health care provision to try and attend the drop-in which will be held at the Ewanrigg and Netherton Community Centre on Ennerdale Road from 2pm to 4.30pm.
