A Workington support group is set for a big move as it looks to reach out to more people.
ADHD West Cumbria has been holding meetings at the Minto Centre in Westfield but next week, will move to Moorclose Community Centre.
Its first meeting at the new venue will take place next Tuesday and Workington MP Sue Hayman will attend to discuss mental health issues.
Marie Steele, who runs the group, said: "We just feel that it's a better venue for us.
"It's a logical move and will become a permanent base. It's going to be a real community hub.
"I think it's vital. We're providing a service that health services are not providing."
The group usually meets once a month and parents of children with the condition can come in and receive support.
Marie added: "It's about supporting and empowering the parents of children and if we can help it goes some way.
"There is also the potential to run family sessions and the possibility of running evening sessions."
The meeting will take place on Tuesday from 12.30pm.
