Children were taken on a dazzling journey as they enjoyed a morning of music and magic.

Oliver Wilson-Dickson and Luke Carver – known as Fidaddle – visited Beckstone Primary School, Harrington, to entertain the youngsters.

Headteacher David Warbrick said everyone – including the teachers – had a brilliant time.

"Oli and Luke entertained the children with music and magic," he said.

"At the end, one of them was on a unicycle playing the violin, as well as juggling with balls and rings.

"They played all kind of genres of music. The aim was to raise the profile of music and get the children involved.

"The children were absolutely enthralled and were clapping along."

All of the school's 370 pupils gathered in the school hall to watch the performance.

Alfie Rosser, nine, said: "I thought it was great. I like the part where the man was on the unicycle, it was really funny and I had a good time."

Both Oli and Luke are well-known artists.

Oli plays folk and world music with a number of bands, as well as working with other artists including storytellers. He has also worked as a performer and workshop leader for many including the Warner International, BBC and EMI.

Luke is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and animature. His music includes commissions for symphony orchestras, rock bands, musicals and theatres.
