Students from Lakes College's catering department have won a haul of medals in a prestigious competition.
Seven youngsters attended the Salon Culinaire competition in London and returned with five silver and seven bronze medals.
Salon Culinaire is the UK's largest chef competition programme, which incorporates over 80 classes over four days.
Daniel Barrientos, of Cockermouth, won a bronze medal. He said: "The competition was really nerve-wracking at first. We were competing against professional chefs from all over the world so we did feel the pressure."
