A group of students from Lakes College at Lillyhall raised more than £600 for Sport Relief.
They were set the task of completing the equivalent of 60 miles in two days and took part in activities such as swimming at Workington Leisure Centre.
The sessions were funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the challenge was part of the college's Realising Our Potential project, a scheme aimed at provide working opportunities and improving the confidence of special needs students.
Ian Mitchell, project co-ordinator, said: "It's fair to say the students' positivity has increased through the activities they've been doing.
"They worked well together and it's a really good result."
The students were all sponsored for the event.
