Pupils at Crosscanonby St John's Primary School had some special visitors this week.
Gladstone the Eagle Owl and six friends from Silverband Falconry spent the day at the school.
Children were introduced to a barn owl, kestrel and harris hawk. They learned about their habits and how they live and survive in the wild.
They were treated to a flying display and were given the chance to handle the birds.
