Wave takeaway Christmas dinners

CHRISTMAS dinner in a box is the latest offer from The Wave in Maryport.
People will be able to order take-away Christmas dinners. They will cost £6.50 each and will include turkey, vegetables and potato, Christmas pudding and custard and a Christmas cracker.
The food will be ready for collection on the morning of Christmas Eve. Cook, Stuart Bethwaite, said it would be perfectly safe and tasty to microwave the food on Christmas Eve.
Wave manager Karen Thompson said the idea of the take-aways came from a conversation between herself and the cook.
She said: “My grandparents are not very well so are having Christmas on their own. I was looking at Stuart’s dinners and said I would like to plate a couple of meals for my grandparents. The idea just grew from there.”
She said it was ideal for couples of people who wanted to be at home but did not want any bother on Christmas day.
Anyone wanting to buy a Christmas box will have to order by next Friday, December 19.
To order, call the Wave on 81450.
