New play equipment is providing a hit with children in a West Cumbrian village.
Brigham Parish Council spent £19,200 on the climbing equipment and slide for its playground beside Lawson Garth.
Clerk Donna Holliday said: "The council took over ownership of the playground after it was first completed in 2002. The initial money was raised by volunteers who applied for lots of grants.
"The equipment is now 15 years old and all needs replaced in the next few years."
The council hopes that funds can be raised to pay for some more equipment.
"We are looking for people to apply for any available funding so that we can replace the rest of the equipment as soon as possible. The play park is extremely well used and we are eager to secure its future," said Mrs Holliday.
Tara Edwards, of High Brigham, has two sons, Noah, six, and Arthur, three.
She said: "We come up here a lot. Many of the kids come up after school.
"It's fantastic that the parish council was able to do this for the children of the village."
