Can he fix it? Richard Burr can, and probably bake it too.
The Great British Bake Off 2014 finalist is the star attraction at this year's Taste Cumbria food festival in Cockermouth next month.
The fourth-generation builder was an instant hit with viewers. Affable and laid-back, with his trademark pencil behind his ear, he stunned judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood with his cakes, pies and pastries.
His new book, Bake It Yourself, is due out next week and features 80 recipes from swiss roll to builder's quiche.
Taste Cumbria takes place from September 25 to September 27 and Richard will be giving a masterclass on the Sunday.
More than 30,000 people are expected to attend the festival in the town centre.
Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan will host three sittings of his popular pop-up restaurant in a secret location as part of the festival.
Taste Cumbria is organised by CN Events, in association with Cumbria Life magazine.
The festival starts on Friday, September 25 with a Tickled at the Trout comedy night at the Trout Hotel. There’s a two day beer festival, in association with Jennings and Moo Bar, and Sparkle and Soul food and music at the Trout Hotel on Saturday night.
Throughout Saturday, 26 and Sunday, September 27, there will be a packed weekend of masterclasses, demonstrations and family activities, and a produce market and hot food court with dozens of stalls offering tastings and shopping.
Many of the independent businesses in Cockermouth also join in the event, offering special offers, samples and competitions with a food and drink theme.
The show marquee, on Main Street, will feature free demonstrations all weekend.
