The Queen's 90th birthday next Thursday will be marked in Workington by the lighting of a beacon.
The Duffield Beacon in Vulcan Park will be lit at 8.15pm on April 21.
The event has been organised by Workington Town Council as part of wider celebrations that will see beacons being lit throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and UK overseas territories.
The event will be accompanied by music from Workington Town Band.
The beacon was built in 1992 from locally made rails.
It is named as a tribute to James Duffield, a key figure in the founding of Workington’s steel industry.
