Travel firm Stagecoach has announced a freeze on bus tickets.
The company announced:
No change to single, return, Dayrider and Megarider tickets sold on bus or online.
Under-19s £2 Whitehaven or Workington Dayrider will become a permanent ticket.
New £3 under-19s West Cumbria dayrider plus introduced to support young people travelling further.
The fare freeze will apply to all single, return, Dayrider and Megarider tickets sold on bus and online.
Megarider Xtra offers unlimited travel in West Cumbria from £14.31 a week.
The under-19s £2 Whitehaven or Workington Dayrider ticket will become a permanent ticket and a new £3 West Cumbria Dayrider plus ticket will be introduced to support those traveling further from Cockermouth, Maryport and Thornhill.
The new ticket offers over 40 per cent off the current West Cumbria Dayrider plus fare.
