Taste Cumbria's biggest fan is laying on a stylish welcome for the Cockermouth food festival's many visitors.
Andrew Marshall is owner of Strolling for Shoes, he and his staff spent last weekend transforming his Main Street shop into a vintage tea room.
"Taste Cumbria is our biggest weekend of trade by miles so we are really going for it this year. I am its biggest fan," said Andrew.
"Every year we like to come up with something that will encourage those 30,000 people to pop in.
"Over the years we have built up a great following and many people come in here for their winter boots and then enjoy the rest of the festival."
He decided to go for a vintage tea room theme this year.
"I first had the idea when I saw some crockery in Mitchells Auction Rooms. I've been collecting vintage crockery from all over the place.
"Shoe shops can be quite boring so we want to make it more interesting – and link with Taste Cumbria.
"We've got lots of bone china cups and saucers, teapots, cake stands and bunting.
"My wife is making 250 cupcakes which will be dressed with edible shoes and given to customers.
"We can't wait for the festival to start."
Former Olympic triple jumper and world record holder Jonathan Edwards will be at Taste Cumbria in his role as whisky ambassador for the Lakes Distillery.
He will be at the distillery and on Main Street today, and at the whisky expert tasting at the Trout Hotel marquee from 12.30pm on Sunday.
