A cyclist was taken to hospital with suspected rib injuries after a collision with a car on the A66 between Keswick and Cockermouth at 3.25pm today.
The 55-year-old Keswick man was cycling westbound on the A66 just outside Braithwaite when the collision, involving a BMW, happened.
The road was closed briefly while an ambulance attended the scene.
The man was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
