Diners will have the chance to eat at the chef's table and will be able to watch their food being made just a few feet away.

The festival will take place in Cockermouth town centre on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25.

Wood Hall, at nearby Bridekirk, will host the pop-up restaurant on the Friday and Saturday evening.

The Taste Cumbria Beer Festival, hosted by Jennings Brewery and Tractor Shed Brewing and music and comedy nights at the Trout marquee in the newly refurbished Trout Hotel will take place on the Friday and Saturday nights.

A producers' market will be held on Main Street with a hot food court in Market Place.

Chefs will also be offering masterclasses in the Riversmeet building off Market Place.

Family entertainment will also take place.

Marie Whitehead, festival organiser and director of CN Events, said: "This year’s festival is already shaping up to be a brilliant weekend.

"We’re so pleased Simon Rogan has agreed to return, and really excited that we can offer the chef’s table experience at beautiful Wood Hall.

"Every year we try to find new and different ways to keep visitors entertained for the whole weekend and we hope this year’s line-up won’t disappoint."

Tickets are on sale now for the pop-up restaurant, Trout Marquee events and masterclasses.
