Keswick Victorian Fayre is ready to bounce back after Storm Desmond forced organisers to cancel last year's event.

They promise that this Sunday's festive fayre will be even bigger and better than previous years.

One of the main attractions will be six Cairngorm reindeer, with sleigh and Father Christmas. They leave the rugby club at 12.15pm and arrive in the Market Place at 12.30pm, staying all day.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Keswick and Bassenthwaite and the Keswick Lions, the fayre runs from 10.30am to 4pm.

It will be opened by MP Jamie Reed, with continuous free entertainment in the Market Place and Packhorse Court from throughout the day.

It will include live music from both local bands and choirs, a children's entertainer and storyteller, a nativity scene and funfair. The Keswick Street Theatre will also perform at the museum.

The fayre also gives local charities and good causes a chance to raise money, with more than 30 stalls selling festive food, drink and other goods.
