Glasses will be raised at a popular Cockermouth arts venue to welcome the festive season.
The Kirkgate Centre is hosting a whisky tasting evening on Saturday, December 10, to raise funds to help secure its future.
Whisky expert Stephen Walker will be there to explain how to appreciate single malts, how to nose and taste whisky and to explain how it is produced.
The event is being organised by the Friends of the Kirkgate group which has held a number of throughout the year to rise vital funds for the centre.
A spokesman said: "All Friends donations and fundraising ensures that the Kirkgate flourishes in the short term and survives for future generations as an important and inspiring community hub for the arts."
Tickets for the event, which starts at 7.30pm, are available from the box office on 01900 826448.
