Keswick Golf Club has received a lifeline of more than £4,000 from Sport England which has allowed it to carry out repairs caused by December's floods.
The club, which is based at Threlkeld Hall, has used the money to repair walkways and pathways around the course to make them safe for players.
It was forced to close during the weekend of Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6 when Storm Desmond battered the county.
But the club reopened within days of the wild weather.
Gary Watson, club manager, said: "It's a massive boost to get the money. We've now had all the work completed and everything is back up and running. For Sport England to come forward and to do it in such a timely fashion is great."
