Over 650 runners will be taking part in the spectacular West Cumbria Colour Run in aid of the area's Hospice at Home.

The event, which last year raised over £35,000 for the charity, will be held this Sunday at Muncaster Castle. There are still 86 runners tickets available.

Christina Cremins, marketing manager at Hospice at Home West Cumbria, said: “We have sold more tickets at this point than ever before and we would like to say a big thank you to the hundreds of people who have signed up.

"They’re in for a fantastic day of colourful fundraising and our volunteers can’t wait to shower them in a sea of paint!

"We’re just hoping the weather holds out so that we can use our series of giant inflatables for the final leg of course giving our runners one last challenge.''

And she added: "We would urge anyone who hasn’t yet purchased their ticket and would like to join us on the day to get in quick and secure their place at Cumbria’s number one Colour Run.”

Anyone wishing to spectate, but has not purchased a ticket in advance, will be charged full Muncaster entry rates on the day.
