Linda Radcliffe has been re-elected as Maryport's mayor.

At an event on Monday night, she said she was delighted to be serving for a second term and spoke of the people she had met over her year in office.

Former Allerdale mayor, Len Davies, will be Mrs Radcliffe's consort.

Maryport town council agreed that all councillors would belong to all three committees.

Carol Tindall was elected deputy mayor and chairwoman for the finance and general purposes committee with Peter Kendall as vice chairman.

Angela Kendall retains her position as chairwoman of planning and economic development with Mrs Radcliffe as vice chairwoman.

Billy Pegram has been returned as chairman of the allotments committee with Coun Tindall as vice chairwoman.
