People across Keswick will be on the lookout for brightly coloured lambs as part of a project to help raise cash for the Calvert Trust.

The trust has launched the second part of Go Herdwick, a sheep-inspired public art trail, for its 40th anniversary fundraising campaign.

Sixty full-size decorated ewes have already been spread out across the central Lakes on the trail for the first part.

From Friday, 48 life-size lambs will go on display in and around the town centres of Keswick, Windermere and Windermere-in-Bowness in part two.

The lambs have been sponsored by local businesses and decorated by artists.

When the trail finishes, all 108 lambs and ewes will be rounded up and taken to Rheged, for a public viewing between Thursday, September 22 and Wednesday, September 28. They will then be sold at an auction.

Go Herdwick will run until Sunday, September 4.
