A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital following a crash in west Cumbria this evening.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene, at the junction between Ewanrigg Road and Jubilee Terrace in Maryport at 4.40pm.
The Great North Air Ambulance was later called to the scene.
The crash involved a motorcycle and an HGV.
The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man from Maryport, injured his leg but the driver of the HGV, a 46-year-old man, was not injured in the crash.
As of 6.45pm, Ewanrigg Road is still closed to traffic.
