A paraglider was airlifted to hospital yesterday after falling 150ft onto a fell near Keswick.
The man, in his early 60s, is believed to be from Cockermouth.
The incident occurred at around 3.30pm at Wolf Crag, east of Keswick, and he injured his back and pelvis.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team transferred the man to the Great North air Ambulance, which flew him to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary.
