A peace scholar who has worked on international projects spoke to 45 Rotary members at an event in Workington.
Jody-Ann Anderson was invited by the Rotary clubs of Whitehaven Castle and Workington to talk at Hunday Manor Hotel, Winscales.
There was also an exhibition celebrating 100 years of Rotary Foundation.
Each year, Rotary selects up to 100 professionals from around the world to receive fellowships to study at one of its peace centres.
