The proposed removal of four phoneboxes in Workington is due to be discussed by the town council on Monday.
BT are proposing to remove 40 payphones across Allerdale including on Harrington Road, Westfield Drive, Stanley Street and Mossbay Road.
Earlier this month the company made a U-turn in the decision to remove a phone box at Seathwaite in the Borrowdale Valley due to calls from Keswick Mountain Rescue Team to keep it.
The proposal will be discussed at Workington Town Council's planning committee in the mayor’s reception rooms in the town hall, at 6pm.
