Police investigate death of woman at Workington hotel
A woman in her 60s has died at a Workington hotel.
Police are investigating the sudden death at the Washington Central Hotel on Washington Street.
Officers were called to the scene at 12.05pm yesterday by North West Ambulance Service.
Paramedics had been called at 11.49am.
A police spokesman said: "Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the circumstances."
At least four police vehicles, including a crime scene investigation van, and two ambulance service vehicles attended the hotel.
A Washington Central spokesman said he could not give details of the incident but said the hotel was operating as normal.
