A cheese, wine and jazz evening will be held next week to raise funds for Blood Bikes Cumbria.
The Rotary Clubs of Bassenthwaite and Cockermouth have teamed up to organise the fundraising event which will be held at Cockermouth Rugby Club on Friday, May 5, 7pm for 7.30pm. They are supported by the town's Sainsburys.
Blood Bikes Cumbria is run entirely by volunteers and transports blood, drugs, human tissue and other medical requirements between hospitals, blood transfusion banks and the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
Tickets are £10 and available from Billy Bowman Music in Lowther Went, Cockermouth, or by ringing Albert Johnson on 01900 821912 and Brian Mitchelhill on 01900 825366.
