Cockermouth Harmonic Society will be performing Handel’s Messiah in town tomorrow.
The Handel masterpiece will be performed in Christ Church, Cockermouth at 7.30pm.
Ian Thompson will conduct the choir and the orchestra, the Lonsdale Baroque Ensemble. The society will also welcome back to Cockermouth soloists Laurie Ashworth, soprano, Margaret McDonald, alto, Christopher Steele, tenor, and Paul Im Thurn, bass, as well as Ian Hare, who will play the organ.

Cockermouth Harmonic Society is the largest adult choir in town with about 70 singing members. It performs the major choral repertoire and has a professional musical director and accompanist.
