A hundred men can get a three-month leisure centre membership for just £10 in a Men’s Health Week initiative.

The offer applies at Workington Leisure Centre and Netherhall Community Sports Centre, Maryport.

The aim is to reinforce how important it is to look after your health and that exercise can improve mood, cut stress, help with weight loss, and improve overall mental and physical well-being.

Those signing up for the offer can use the council’s gyms, swimming pools or exercise classes, or get involved in sessions like football or circuits.

Only 100 memberships are available.

Applicants registering for a membership can only be

accepted during Men’s Health Week from now until 6pm on Friday 19 June.

Memberships will be provided on a first-come- first-served-basis and once 100 have been awarded the offer will close.

The offer is limited to all men over the age of 18 who haven’t held a council leisure centre membership within the last 12 months.

Terms and conditions apply. Applicants must commit to attending the gym, a class, hire a court or swim at least once each week, and they must undergo an induction session.

They must also agree to provide feedback to the council which will be used in evaluation by its funding partner, Sport England.

To apply, visit reception at either Workington Leisure Centre or Netherhall Community Sports Centre.

Alternatively, call the Workington team on 01900 61771 or the Netherhall team on 01900 813434.
