A community clean-up is to be held at Maryport railway station on Sunday.
Organised by the Love Maryport town team, members of the local sea cadets and adults and children from Ewanrigg are expected to join in.
Allerdale council is also providing staff and equipment.
The clean-up begins at 1.30pm. People are asked to bring gardening tools, although equipment will also be provided.
The event will be followed by refreshments at Her Citi on Crosby Street.
