MORE than 100 year seven students from Workington Academy went on an outdoor adventure on the shores of Derwentwater in Keswick.
The students took part in five different activities to help boost their leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
These included shelter building, orienteering, a spider's web and 'Saving The Water' and 'Ping Pong' challenges.
The students set targets for the day and reflected afterwards on the skills they had developed throughout each activity.
Nicola Tweddle, director of learning for years seven and eight, said: "The students were fantastic ambassadors for Workington Academy throughout the day.
"Students were very inclusive of one another and strived throughout each challenge to be the best that they could be as an individual and as a team."
