Swings at a new £25,000 play area in Workington's Moorclose estate need to be refitted because of "vigorous play".
The play area, off Lady Court, opened in July and was funded by Workington Town Council.
Chris Bagshaw, town clerk, said it would cost the town £1,000 to make the repairs.
Members agreed to pay for the work.
