The continent has come to Cockermouth - with the arrival of a new French chef in a town bistro.
Samuel Morville recently started work at Wild Zucchinis on Station Street.
Owner Manon Plouffe is so delighted with what he can offer that she has decided to open every Friday night with a traditional French bistro style menu.
Samuel, 36, has spent the past 10 years working in gourmet restaurants in Paris.
He moved to Cockermouth to be with his girlfriend, Stella Tournier, who is doing a phd in the nuclear field and working at Sellafield.
"I love living here, the town is very friendly. It's great working here and I'm enjoying introducing French dishes to the menu," said Samuel.
Samuel has been impressing customers with a selection of dishes including moules marinieres, gnocchi Parisienne and savoury profiteroles.
