The opening event of Workington's oldest theatre has been postponed.
The Theatre Royal, on Washington Street, will reopen officially on May 8, after a major £500,000 refurbishment.
It was initially announced it would hold an opening event on March 12, but the handover of the building has been delayed.
Pat Brinicombe, of Workington Playgoers, which owns the building, said: "We've decided to give ourselves a little bit more time to move all the stuff from Moorclose, where we have temporarily been based, and get the theatre ready."
