Maryport's postponed trawler race will take place tomorrow.
Organiser Gary Hampson was forced to abandon the event on June 6 when high winds made it impossible for fishing trawlers to take part.
Mr Hampson said it has taken until now to find a weekend when the tides were right and there was no clash with other events.
He said although there would not be the onshore entertainment this time, the trawler race itself was the main event and well worth watching.
Trawlers will be arriving from the Isle of Man as well as from Maryport and both crews and boats will be dressed up.
The race is due to start at about 12.30pm.
In June, a continental market on Elizabeth Dock and a harbourside fun fair went ahead but rain and wind led to a disappointing turnout.
Following the event, however, town centre manager, Toni Magean, said despite the weather, the continental market was planning to return next year.
