Drivers are being warned to expect disruption when road resurfacing begins on the A597 in Workington on Monday.

Work will be carried from the A597 roundabout to the junction with Senhouse Street.

It is expected to last for five days, subject to weather conditions, but the road will remain open with a four-way traffic light system in place.

The council is also planning further road resurfacing on Reedlands Road on the A597.

The work will begin on Monday February 22 and is also expected to last for five days depending on the weather.

Reedlands Road will be closed while the resurfacing is being carried out.
