Can any reader shed a light on the following?
The other night while watching a film on TV, called Miller's Crossing, starring Albert Finney, I noticed something that made me say “Whooo look!”.
This was a gangster film and about three quarters of the way through it, the gang were discussing at what time they should do something. One of them said "Well, what time is it now?" and they all looked at the clock on the wall... and there in fine print behind the pointers were the words "John Walker, Workington".
How did that clock come to appear in a gangster film made at Shepperton Studios in 1990? Intruiging!
