FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a vacant Workington pub last night.
They were called out to The Westfield, at Westfield, at about 7.30pm after youngsters in the area spotted smoke and raised the alarm.
It took about an hour-and-a-half to put the fire out and no-one was inside.
The fire service said fire damage was limited to the ground floor of the concrete building although the first floor windows were blown out due to heat and the first floor was smoke damaged.
Police are investigating the incident.
