Have your say
My family came from Workington in the 18 and 1900s and I am hoping to visit within the next 12 months. I am really interested in finding anyone who might have information on the Hadfields of Workington. My grandmother was Sarah Elizabeth Hadfield who married a Johnston. Her father was John Hadfield who married Catherine (Kate) Bumford. I have hit a brick wall about John Hadfield's birth but believe it to be between 1836 and 1841 and on his marriage cert he states his father as William but I can find no trace. Any help to this Aussie cousin would be much appreciated.
