A Workington man has been left with a gaping six-foot hole in his wall and a £7,000 bill – just a fortnight after he spent £2,000 to repair it.
Have your say
Why should the house owner be out of pocket,as a result of an irresponsible driver?
edd, you are so naive, driving at 60 around that bend is the simplest of things, I have been round it at 60 in qwet weather, I reckon Nigel could go round that bend at 100mph.The road at Distington is even easier to drive round unless of course you are just one of those drivers who have learnt to passs a test and not how to drive a car.
More of the usual rubbish being spouted here. The calls for a speed camera are quite amusing, the current speed limit of this road is 60mph, now with the layout of the road even Nigel Mansell would have great difficulty in even attempting that speed around these bends.
Compare this to the road passed the crem at Distington now reduced to 40mph for very many less accidents.
Plenty of scope there for a change in the road layout a sweeping curve across the golf course.
