NEW SINGLE: Colt 45

The band – Neil Harper, Gareth Jenkins and Adam Lewis – released Happiness Is A Dying Art on Monday.

This week sees Colt 45 at the start of a national tour organised and promoted by Big Cheese magazine.

The Workington three-piece will join London punks Electric River and Scottish ska-lites The Hostiles for a 10-day UK tour taking in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Carlisle, Leeds, Leicester and London.

The tour kicked off last night in Glasgow, with the Carlisle leg of the tour taking place at The Brickyard tomorrow, with local support from young rock band The Alleys.

Neil, 27, of Wilson Street, Workington, the band’s vocalist and guitarist, said: “We’re really chuffed to have been asked on to this tour.

“To be out with a couple of great bands such as Electric River and The Hostiles is pretty amazing.”

Colt 45 have been progressing since launching their first EP after a slot at Radio One’s Big Weekend in 2011.

Their most recent EP, Inside The Triangle, was produced by Romesh Dodangoda, responsible for albums by bands such as The Blackout, Twin Atlantic, Bullet For My Valentine and Kids In Glasshouses.
