Two drivers were injured in a crash on the A596 at Lillyhall this morning.
A black BMW and a maroon Seat Alhambra people carrier were involved in the incident at around 9am and both male drivers suffered minor neck and head injuries.
The man from the Seat was taken out of the vehicle on a stretcher while the other driver managed to walk to an ambulance.
Fire crews assisted paramedics in getting the men out of the vehicles safely and they were taken to the West Cumberland Hospital in
Whitehaven.
The road between Lillyhall Business Park and Dobies was not closed after the incident but was blocked for a short time while emergency
services dealt with the crash.
