Youngsters on Workington’s Northside estate are in for a treat as the area’s community centre plans a summer of activities.
The centre, on Trinity Drive, will hold free rugby sessions with players from Workington Town team on Monday and August 15, between 1pm and 2.30pm.
Archery, at a cost of £1 per session, will be held on Wednesday and August 17 between 1pm and 2pm.
On August 8 and 29, children can take part in a children’s prize bingo at 2pm for £1.
Bubble football at the grassed area off Mitchell Avenue is due to take place on August 10 between 2pm and 4pm. Cost for the activity is £1.
A free sports day will take place on August 19 in the same place at 1pm.
Craft sessions are planned for August 24 and cost £1.
On September 2, bungee run, face painting, disco, refreshments and more will be part of the centre’s end of summer fun day.
The centre will be closed on August 25 for a trip to Blackpool.
