Children will get a peek into the back of the wardrobe and into Narnia in Aspatria on Saturday.
St Kentigern's Church is running a community barbecue for families and people in town.
The Rev Canon Tim Herbert said it would be a fun day with games and a bouncy castle.
There will also be a special prayer tent based around the Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis.
Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Doors will open at 11.30am and food will be served from noon to 2pm.
Dr Herbert said entry, including the food, was free and the event will be held whatever the weather.
