Scottish hard rock band Attica Rage have a West Cumbrian date to look forward to on their upcoming UK tour.

The acclaimed Glasgow outfit call in at Monroes Bar, in Workington, on Friday, September 30.

Regular headliners at gigs across Europe and favourites at many rock festivals, they are regarded as one of the country’s leading live acts.

They have also supported an array of acts such as Black Label Society, Testament, Saxon, Skindred, Diamond Head and Armored Saint as well as sharing festival bills with the likes of Judas Priest, Slash, Blind Guardian, Down and WASP, to name a few.

This summer they released Warheads Ltd on Off Yer Rocka Recordings. The fourth studio album is a diverse mix of catchy rock anthems, heavy metal riffs, epic ballads and even a bass solo instrumental track.

A healthy appreciation of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne and Black Label Society can be heard throughout.

It is the first Attica Rage album to include bassist Matthew Ward who joined the band in 2014, joining founding members drummer Richie Rage and his brother Jonny Parr on vocals and guitar, and fellow guitarist Stevie Bell.

Completing a run of summer festival dates, they now turn their attention to a UK tour – with Monroes being a part of that.

Support for the night comes from local act Bulletproof Rose.
