Children of a West Cumbrian school have officially become members of their local Rotary club.
Sixteen pupils at Seaton junior school have become part of Workington's Rotary Club Rotakids group.
Rachael Wilson, teaching assistant at the school, said: "It's good for the children to help the community and raise money.
"Being part of the Rotakids helps build their confidence, they all have a role in the group and have to do different things such as collect money."
The group has already held a book sale raising money for a school in Africa and a skipping challenge in aid of the NSPCC.
Amanda Dickinson, headteacher, said: "I'm really proud of all our Rotakids and indeed all of our children. Together they have raised over £2,000 for charities.
"The letter we received from the Rotary president stated: 'When a community or school gains Rotakids, it also gains a heart - a group of caring and committed young children.'
"We want children from Seaton junior school to be fantastic citizens of future society. Rotakids will help us in this journey."
