COCKERMOUTH Harmonic Society’s Christmas Beckons concert on Saturday, December 5, will have a feast of Christmas music and words.
The first part heads through Advent, and offers an opportunity to hear Schubert’s short but tuneful Mass in G.
In the second part there will be carols for everyone to sing, as well as Christmas music and readings.
Ian Thompson will conduct the choir, with Cumbrian soloists soprano, Tracie Penwarden, tenor Ian Wright and baritone, Jim Johnson. Ian Hare will play the organ.
The concert will take place at Christ Church, Cockermouth at 7.30pm.
Tickets for the concert will cost £12, or £2 for under-18s, with a discount for parties of six or more.
