Choirs of a West Cumbrian Village are teaming up to raise money for charity.

St Paul's Church choir will hold a sing-and-organ-athon, singing along to music played by the Rev Ian Grainger, organist Mike Milner and deputy organist David Wilson on Sunday, April 2 from noon until 4pm.

Seaton Village Choir, St Paul's Church of England Junior School Choir and guests performers Kath Smith, Sophie Mills, Irene Atkinson and Malcolm Bethwaite will hold their Concert For Ellie at the village's Royal British Legion on Wednesday, April 5 at 7pm.

Both events will raise money for sarcoma research at the Children's Cancer Research Centre, in Newcastle, as part of a project started by the family of 12-year-old Ellie Charlesworth, of Seaton, who suffered from the condition.

Sponsor forms for the sing-and-organ-a-thon are available from the church or Mike Milner on 01900 61268.

Tickets are £5 and are available by calling Mr Milner.
