More than 20 guests gathered for Workington's annual Christmas in Company event on Sunday.
The event, at Carlton Road, has been organised for 26 years by Workington resident Evelyn Adams.
It brings together people from across the town and beyond who would otherwise be on their own on Christmas Day.
Guests enjoyed chat, dinner, the Queen's speech, carols, readings, quizzes and tea.
Mayor of Workington Joan Wright and mayoress Denise Roper visited to chat to the guests.
The event was funded by donations from a range of organisations and individuals including Workington Town Council and Workington Rotary.
A team of volunteers helped out on the day.
Mrs Adams, a member of St Michael's Church, said: "It's a good chance for the guests to meet and chat to other people and not be alone for the day.
"We have a treasury of helpers and they have all been very good."
Mrs Adams is now looking for a group or person to either take over or help with the organisation of the event.
Anyone interested in being involved can call her on 01900 602462.
