Christmas is coming early for cyclists with the opening of a new bike store in Cockermouth.
Cyclewise is branching out from its woodland home in Whinlatter Forest, where its specialist mountain bike store will remain.
Its new store and workshop, in the Fairfield Buildings on South Street, will open tomorrow.
The company, which offers a range of bike training courses, is owned by cyclists and coaches Rich Martin, of Great Salkeld, and Craig Scott, of Greystoke.
They have invested £250,000 in their latest venture and created three permanent new jobs.
The shop will stock premier road bikes and a range of family bikes.
Cyclewise has a team of 25 employees across its business and four sponsored riders.
The Cyclewise Academy is based at Whinlatter and run by a dedicated group of parents with expert help from the Cyclewise coaches.
It has more than 100 children, all keen on developing their skills in a safe environment.
